Can I Laugh On Your Shoulder?

Mar 23, 2022

Hey everyone! It’s episode 290, so that means it’s time for another solo show featuring me. Every 10 episodes I do a solo show or feature an extra special guest, like my husband.

Can you believe I have come out with a new episode every single Wednesday since I started this show in summer 2016? If you count the bonus episodes, I’ve done, it’s probably more than 300 shows.

If you’re new here, welcome! If you’re a returning listener, thank you so much for your support.

Today’s show is all about being more sustainable and living with less. I’m sharing 25 simple tips for living with less and living more sustainably.

4:05 – Crunchy-lite

  • I’m not a hippy tree-hugger, but I like to think of myself as crunchy-lite.
  • I can’t fit all my trash in a mason jar, but I think we produce way too much waste.
  • We dispose of our stuff without thinking about the impact that that stuff has on the environment.

5:26 – Dandora dump

  • A few years ago I went to Kenya and got to visit the Dandora dump, the largest landfill in east Africa.
  • It was one of the most horrifying things I have ever seen. Tons of trash, including brand new shirts with logos of the losing Super Bowl team, were dumped there.
